Ok, how did I start collecting designer toys? That’s a long story, but I will briefly tell the story here…

Back in 1998, I was a huge fan of Michael Lau’s comic series which he combined his hand-made figures and hand drawings to create an unique style. The comic series was only published in a local Hong Kong magazine called East Touch.  A while later, ML launched his 1st hand-made 12″ figures “tatto”. He advertised in the magazine.  However, I couldn’t afford an expensive designer figure at that time, so I passed the chance, but I admired ML’s work since then.  And, I started paying attention to other designers as well.

Few years later, I received my first vinyl from my girlfriend, who is my wife now. She gave me a LAMDOG SOCCER as a surprise birthday gift.  I then realized looking at a picture is one thing, but looking at the real thing is another thing. After that, I committed myself to designer toys. That’s how I start collecting.

In 2005, I decided to create crazytoyz : forum after Ningyoushi forum suddenly closed down. Ningyoushi forum was the main source where I learned about designer toys and made friends around the world with same interest. This forum created a place for all of us to share and talk.

I created crazytoyz : 0709 blog. The main purpose for my blog was to create a platform to show my collections, and share my comments with some close friends.  Then I realized lots people from different countries like to visit my blog, so now I decided to make my own website.

Why do I call it “crazytoyzLIFE”? To myself, and to many collectors, collecting and admire designer toys have became a “life style”, and I believe for many collectors, “toys are for life”….
